Just started an amazing new classroom managment/discipline piece with my kids this week called "Steps or Reps" from the positive engagement project. Not sure who else is using it, but the kids are really responding nicely. I told my daughter's teacher and she started it with her class...my little girl tells me everyday, "We had 13 steps up the mountain today!" Read the ebook and you'll understand why that is so darn cute.

Ish I agree with the Steps or Reps and B7P as being very positive. The culture of my room has changed and my kids are being more proactive and making better choices.

I'm using it in 5th grade and it works great. My daughter is in first grade and her teacher is using it with great success. So my answer is that it works in both upper and lower elementary...See More

Newman I looked at the program and liked it but I think the core purpose is a little confusing. I may be wrong but at the beginning it says it isn't a reward and punishment program but at the end it list how to give out rewards in the form of earned minutes to play games etc. I also thought the graphic was more abstract then it had to be. Why not draw a h...See More

Ish I've used the program and my kids get the visual. I like your idea as well. As for the rewards, I think those are ways kids can use their time if they were able to "save" it throughout the day, at least that's the way I read it. I use it in the sense of trying to save as much time as we can with our procedures and expectations.....but I never call ...See More
