Here is a plan that works for me for small issues that are non-productive in the classroom, (not for major problems): Write the numbers one through ten on a half sheet of paper and make copies for other days. I add a decorative picture that is relavant to the age (bicycle etc). Then discuss with the student the things that take away from your time and the other student's learning. Each time this student is accomplishing the activity without your behavior reminders, then a number is circled. My deal is.....they have to get to number 10 in order to earn their afternoon recess. For example, I would circle "1" for doing accomplishing their morning jobs of doing lunch count, getting pencils ready on desk etc. "2" would be for correct behavior in reading group, "3" might be for correct behavior to and from bathroom break...and so on. DeAnn I like this plan. It is easy to use and a good visual. May I ask what age group you have used it with?
