"Sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments. You........can't change history, but you can learn from it. Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson - who's next, Washington, Jefferson? So foolish! Also......the beauty that is being taken out of our cities, towns and parks will be greatly missed and never able to be comparably replaced!"

There really can be no doubt - Donald Trump is not the president of America - he is the president of his fringe base, which more and more is characterized entirely by the ugliest of Americans.

EasTexSteve Well, Bob. You are going to have a real problem if you intend to do away with all reminders of the confederacy. To start with, Arlington Cemetery once belonged to the family of confederate general Robert E. Lee.

Let me know what luck you have in getting all those veterans graves moved.

Lulu Who's trying to relocate Arlington National? The land was seized from Robert E. Lee's family for just this purpose.

EasTexSteve Oh, I hope they don't ever relocate it. There are almost 500 confederate soldiers buried there, and BIG confederate monument. Yep, taken by the northern government of agression. I guess northern reconstruction missed Arlington. But, just think about all those union soldiers buried in ground that the great Robert E. Lee peed on regularly.
