I finally found a terrific hard covered decodable book of interesting stories that a beginning reader can read! The book has 10 stories and it about 156 pages. My beginning readers feel so special that they are reading a 156 page book! The stories consist of short vowel words with and without blends and just a few sight words. It is beautifully illustrated and the detailed black and white illustrations tell the rest of the story that can't be told through the basic words. For instance, there is a story about a boy who drank a pink drink and shrank. He is small enough to slide on a ruler and hang down on a cup. The author plans to write more books in the near future so there will be more in the series.
