anyway I took the essay only today and I wrote to the diverse population prompt and it was worded a little different so It threw me off .. and I can not remember what the word was but it was not strategies .. this essay is so hard 50 mins is not enough time to write a good essay ! I am beyond frustrated !
I just took the test on January and the topic was something like teaching in a diverse classroom. The reading portion was about a horror film maker and some sort of scandal. Does anyone have taken this test lately and can share the topic? thank you
i just took the exam 5/8.my advice read every question twice. my essay choices were evaluate cost and benefits of health education for companies employees or the need for ell, science, and math teachers. The book helps. i studied one week and passed all 4 parts.
I am sorry for bothering you, but I'm trying to work in my essay and I want to write about of substance abuse in school, but I do not know what they want you to discuss in the essay, such preventing substance abuse, or some other topic in reference to it. Thank you so much.! CGP
JulietteHello, I am in the same situation. Do you got the answer for hou question? What exactly? Do you know another topic for This month. I only have May and June or I'll lose my job. I passes all the other, thanks
I flew back to the US to take four different subject exams, the GK, and the Professional Ed exam. So far, I didn't pass three of the subject exams, but I nailed the GK (though waiting on the essay). I still take the Reading K-12 In two days and then take the Professional Ed exam on the 26th. Any recommendations for those two exams?
***GK Exam: Somebody already mentioned the two topics: health and the need for math/science/ESL teachers. I would just focus on spelling, grammar and essay organization. Considering you are expected to write an essay in 50 minutes, there shouldn't be a high expectation for any prior quantitative research. Also, for those who have never taken it, editing your essay can be a pain because typing something new deletes what is in front of it, so it helps to be a fast typer.
I passed the reading, English Language Skills and Math, but the reading section actually took quite a bit of critical thinking. You really need to be able to identify the meaning of certain sentences and passages and it's actually quite tricky.
For both reading and math, I recommend just poring through the practice exams that the ftce offers on examedge. There really is no better way to prepare, and definitely use that 'mark' button as this is a pass/no pass exam. Just focus on getting the questions that you know, not 100% (or, you'll get worried and fail).
**"anybody have tips for reading k-12 and the professional ed?
