I am in my second semester of Education classes and there is
a great deal said about assessing the student and reteaching
the skill if it is not mastered. I substitute at the
elementary school level and know how jam packed an academic
day usually is. When and how do you reteach a skill that a
student has not mastered. Sometimes it is hard enough to
fit recess in let alone to reteach. In order to be prepared
for the upcoming benchmark or TCAP tests, there doesn't seem
to be time for reteaching. There has to be an art to this.
Please advise.
