Despite your political affiliation, do feel that there is any reality to the US dropping out of NATO? What affect would this have on DoDDS Europe? Or DoDDS worldwide for that matter?
We started with a five minute warm up on the treadmill. We then moved to one of the studio spaces for the first part of the workout. She had me push a 25 lbs weight plate on a towel across the floor from one end to the other. Not a graceful pose! Then I did 20 standing against a bar push ups. She had me do one rep with hands shoulder width apart for triceps and one rep with hands wider for the chest. From there she had me do 10 slide side lunges on each leg. The last exercise in the rotation was a 5 lbs dumbbell front raise into a lat raise back down to front of body (made a kind of heart shape). I did this circuit 3 times. My least favorite one was the weight pushing!
She then took my out on the floor and did another circuit. I started with 15 overhead throws (10 lbs ball against tilted trampoline). I ended up with a broken nail! After that, she had me hold a bosu (half fitness ball on a base) and do ten squats and then a chest press when I came up again. I then moved on to 12 leg raises while sitting on the edge of a bosu. The final exercise was a plank with my hands on the bosu (hard to balance) and 12 side taps. Again, this circuit was repeated 3 times.
The last 20 minutes was dedicated to stretches. She actually did the stretches while I was on the table. It felt so good! She managed to get most of the tightness out before I left the gym.
I am proud that I pushed through the tougher exercises (weight push, leg raises, plank) and didn't quit. I did pause a few seconds to get myself prepared for the awfulness of those exercises. But, I completed everything she had planned.
Hope everyone is continuing to move and I am so happy to be back.
Walked 9,900 boring steps back and forth in shopping center to avoid rain. Didn't check the total until I'd removed my Fitbit or I would have jogged in place.

That sounds lik...See MoreNo official exercise today for me other then walking the granddaughter to school this morning in a light rain She had to walk through every puddle along the way carrying her little groggy umbrella. I carried home both umbrellas and her boots - awkward to do. I did do a lot of walking @ work though.
Jrod I felt your efforts! That sounds like a lot for a first day. Great workout. I don't like to do lunges. Love planks. I really hurt my shoulder in a core fit class when I had to throw a basketball size ball up on the wall several times like you did into the trampoline. I don't recall ever pushing anything on the floor but I wouldn't like that one either. The one I hated most was using these discs sometimes under feet, sometimes under my hands, and do exercises like push-ups on the gym floor. Never again for me!
Wow everyone is doing a lot of g...See MoreJust finished cycling class and was able to do 19 miles again in an hour so maybe this my new number. I know the lady next to me does around 22 miles so I will make that my goal by summer.
Still enjoying spring like weather around here. It's supposed to be 60 degrees on Saturday. I like that a lot.
Wow everyone is doing a lot of good things moving about. I am impressed with JRod's efforts to get back into the swing of things. Why wait until tomorrow when the present is now and you are ready?
In today's beautiful 80+ degree Florida weather DH and I walked over 11,000 steps and later I added another 2 thousand for a total of 13,156 which translates into 6.2 miles. After a hot tub session and a swim in the pool.......I'm tired!!
I am to complete the circuit 3 times. Luckily, I have done all but the back extension machine. This will definitely push me, but it doesn't scare me.
Today, I did the cardio circuit I did yesterday and it wasn't as difficult to get through today. I did add the water jogging, side walking routine for 30 minutes. I like the pool routine quite a bit.
Tomorrow is my first workout with my trainer. I am excited!
Food intake is better than it has been in a long while. Although I have been tracking my intake for 1467 days and mostly staying within my range, I had gotten lazy about making the BEST choices and being accurate in measuring. I hope I stay focused and HONEST with myself.
steps!!! Did you see my post a while ago that a different friend and I saw OTTERS at the reservoir? So cool! I thought of you with all of your nature observations. Otters!
First, I was evaluated--weight, BF&37;, measurements and flexibility. We discussed my weight loss and fitness goals. I told the trainer that I was going to increase my protein intake and decrease my carbs. I have reset my calories in myfitnesspal app. It is now about 300 calories less than what I had increased t to when I WAS getting in my exercise. Feels good.
After we left her office, she had me do some endurance and strength exercises. Good news is my endurance is good. Bad news is that my strength and flexibility are terrible. This is when I decided that I would invest in 12 sessions of personal training with her. I need ACCOUNTABILITY!
My trainer is going to work with me on Wednesdays and Fridays and come up with a cardio/strength circuit for Mondays and a cardio circuit for Tuesdays and Thursdays. I LOVE circuits because I need a routine to follow.
As we completed the orientation, she said she would see me tomorrow to work out a cardio circuit. I told her I NEEDED to do a workout today so she created my cardio circuit right then and there! I did 10 minutes (level 4) on the stairmaster, 10 minutes (incline 6, resistance 5) on elliptical, and 10 minutes (incline 8, speed 3) on treadmill. I was supposed to do a 30 minute swim jogging but I didn't have my swimsuit with me. I opted for a 30 minute walk outside on the running/walking path.
Tomorrow I will repeat this circuit but will do the swim jogging.

JRod, you make me feel inadequate. Wow!
I'm maintaining just below goal weight.
