Ask for a sponsor in Iwakuni. Try to get the rotator to Yokota and to Iwakuni. Make sure you get pet-friendly lodging. If not, they will be at the pet care center while you are in Yokota. Thanks for the response. I've gathered such from my research; however, I am looking for someone who can give me the information between the lines of what I've read. P.S. For anyone who is wondering, no unaccompanied civilian (aka teacher) housing is allowed on base at Iwakuni, at least according to the housing specialist I talked to.

That is true for most military installations in Japan. Starting the FAVN and quarantine in the USA will reduce the amount of time the dog needs to be in quarantine after arrival.
