Hello, I am new to this forum but I have been doing a lot of research and learning on current methodologies and systems of support for students with LD and different diagnoses of ID as well as behavior responses. I have learned that some of the commonly used and standard methodologies such as MTSS, RTI, and PBIS have come under fire for not being supported by enough evidence and for enforcing restrictive behavior using manipulation (i.e. incentives or rewards). I am curious as to what some alternatives are to these common and accepted practices are, official organizations, institutions, studies, educators, etc and if any of you have seen these alternatives used in a school setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
