What are specific examples of ways the three activities worked together to further your students' understanding of the selected major idea in science and related scientific practice or practices?
How do you answer this question? Do start with pre-assessment or with the activities? Are three different activities for each student?
I planned on doing C3 because I wanted to get the video one done and over with. C4 looks to be a bear and I wanted to save it. The wrench in the plans is this is the last year that my grade (6th) will be in the elementary school. After next year, we move up to the JR/SR high to become a middle school/high school. I do not know many faculty members and am not sure how the transition will go. So now I'm thinking I do C4 this year where I am comfortable with my setting, coworkers, etc. and get it done. Save videos for next year.
When they ask me to list the standards I used, do I need to write out the standard word by word, or can I just list the standard by the title such as CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.1.2?
ckingThank you, whatworks. Sounds like I should have been more specific. For Early/Middle Childhood Literacy it asks for standards in component 2: (What local, state, and/or national standard(s) and curricula did these writing goals reflect?) I appreciate your response!
If I choose a PGE which began by attending a summer institute, am I required to submit as evidence something which proves that I attended, such as a certificate, or purchase order, etc? Thanks for your time!
whatworksYes, October is the month RENEWAL scores are always released. Now the NB is free to get all the first-time candidates results ready. I'm pretty sure it will be December before they're released so try to keep your patience a little longer.
1. Component 1: Any recommendations on what to study in preparation for the exam?
2. Any advice for component 3 video taping? I am just starting to wrap my head around what is needed for evidence. I am not sure what I should do for a video taped lesson.
I am an elementary PE teacher in NC and I have chosen Component 3 to begin with. I am planning on using volleyball skills and basketball skills in my videos. Does that sound like 2 good units to video?
whatworksThose should be appropriate. Be sure to show yourself working with different configurations of students - that's what this component is about: large groups, small groups. pairs etc. Read your directions carefully and you'll be ok.
