Hi,

I will be getting a student next year who has a trach. Does anyone have experience this? I'm curious as to how your district handled everything involved (nursing services, schedules, etc.). Any help would be truly appreciated by our IEP team.

Thanks!

Jason
Aspieteacher Jason, I had a special education student who had a trachea tube in her neck. An LVN should be provided if your student requires assistance from adults. My district provides individual LVN's for all students with severe disabilities and medical needs.
