I wasn't sure I would be able to get my walk done since I woke up with a migraine that just wouldn't go away even with meds. But, I had an hair appointment and an oil change that needed to get done. Luckily, the pain was lessened that I could function.
I waited for hubby to get home since he wanted to go on the walk. He actually did a little jogging but only did 3 miles. He stopped at the duck pond to talk to a neighbor. On that last lap, a herd of deer decided to stop to eat near the path. Fortunately, something spooked them and I was able to continue on the path. Had they not moved, I would have altered my route to cut across the park.
Have I mentioned that I feel AWESOME moving again?!
On the third repetition today, I hit a mental wall as I was completing the walk portion going uphill. Luckily, the run portion started at the top and was on the downhill part of the path so that helped me push through. After this brief hiccup, the rest of the intervals went well. My total distance during this training was 1.94 miles (last Monday's was 1.73). Small improvement but improvement nonetheless!
I continued walking until I hit my 3 mile mark (my current daily goal) and ended up home with 3.19 miles.

I talked myself out of going for my walk this morning because it was cold and very windy. So I sat and got sucked into a lifetime movie. After the movie, I couldn't shake that nagging persistent thought that I NEEDED to go for my walk!
So, I went into my closet and pulled out my cold weather gear and got dressed. I layered my workout clothes in case I needed to shed any if I got too warm. Luckily, the layers were just right and the wind keep sweating to a bare minimum.
I completed 3.15 miles in 58 minutes. And guess what? I feel so accomplished.
Today, the OCD came in very handy by not letting me ignore that pesky thought in my brain.
