Elaine/ret/INFirst post vanished. Trying again. JRod, is your itching a typical allergy for you? Sounds nay. Men, what a storm. Proud gram with your 4-H kids. And skills to eat. Yum. 30 minutes walking. 45 of yoga. Not enough steps, but ...
Our resort was 2 hours into Big Bend and we stopped at the dinosaur exhibit before arriving to our final destination. Hot, dry desert with beautiful scenery!
We attempted 2 other hikes but it was way too roughed for our level of experience, So, we drove the scenic routes. My mother was so happy to see places that she has read about.
On the way home, we took another route and stopped in Presidio and Marfa. We ate in Presidio since there wasn't too much we wanted to see. In Marfa, famous for its mysterious lights, was much more fun. We met a man that was selling hats. He made the hats for lots of movies (Tombstone, Lonesome Dove and more). Interesting stories! Also, we visited the Paisano Hotel where the cast of the movie Giant stayed while filming here. Beautiful hotel!
All in all, it was a great trip!
Today I had to make up for the Friday workout of week three and start week four. Lots of weight was lifted today!
judycaretNo caregiver yesterday or today, so no walks, but I did a little housewalking yesterday and weights today. I'm enjoying catching up on your exercise and loved your travelogue, Jarod.
I thought I had it figured out to comment, but as usual I failed again. There has to be some system that is staring me in the face that works, but I am failing to figure out what I did the few times I have succeeded. I wonder why this is such a problem for me?
Elaine/ret/INBob, the "sort by" menu is the problem, I think. The comments only work in Sort by New Posts. Which is, I think, the same as "Teacher Chatboard." Do you have any guess as to when the board will be "finished?" It seems to have been in progress for months and still very basic problems persist.
The disadvantage is that they will sort by the date of the recent comments, rather than by original posting dates, and also, you will have to scroll down through everything. I prefer to sort by topic list, but . . .
I have also found that that "teachers" click in step 1 works sort of as a back button.
Thanks for your suggestions, but on my phone I do not see chat boards anyplace! I have clicked on every possible link to find a chatboard that I can click teachers in a top left corner. Why is this so difficult???!!!!!
The scale numbers have stayed almost within a pound if where I was even a year ago when I wasn't as regular and pushing as hard. I guess my body is one that can adjust to conserve and stay the same wright. I am glad I am not doing this for wright loss or I would be extremely disheartened! I do think my body is trimming up - pants feel loose; legs look great. It's that tummy weight that is resistant to changing fast enough.
Do any of you work out with your spouse? I wish mine did. I worry about his weight gain and it's all in the worst place, too. I see how much fun the couples have together with the shared cycling. One couple actually met at the club so they had their wedding with their bikes!
We are getting predictions of lots of thunderstorms returning this week. No one use the rivers or creeks due to flooding and dangerous conditions. I guess that's better then the extreme heat out west. Then I get pictures of my sister in law's dining out views looking out over Tampa Bay. We live in a very diverse country, don't we?
I still can't comment on threads despite all the advice from Bob and Novel. I apologize for not commenting on others' posts because of that limitation.
I, too, wish that DH were more willing to follow a healthy lifestyle; it's a joke between us. Which, I'm glad of, I guess; otherwise, it would be called nagging. I know in my head that I should be quiet, but it slips out.
Yes, where is jRod.
Glad to hear from you, Judy. Sorry you're experiencing such extreme heat. Good to stay inside in the ac. I'm red-faced to admit that I returned "Into the Beautiful North;" It wasn't the book for me at this time; alas, I'm mostly listening to book. Ultimate laziness confession.
Only 30 minutes of formal walking yesterday but on the go all day and I was pleased to have banked just over 6K steps. Today I'm just over 10K, but I might get some more tonight when I babysit.
Hi I am in desperate need for an tutor for communication and literacy reading MTEL. I have tried it all and I really need some help, I should also mention I am dyslexic. So reading and answering multiple choice questions are not what I am great at. I am on the North Shore, and really looking for some help. Please reach out.
BACait, if I'm correctly interpreting MTEL, it's a Massachusetts test so that's likely where you live. You might try reposting, including "Massachusetts" in the subject line. There is also a Massachusetts-specific chatboard here. You might cross-post. Good luck to you. (I'm in Illinois, so too far to be helpful.)
